Super Bowl -MCMIII (64 AD)
As we all prepare to watch the two best football teams in the nation rip each other to shreds on a Sunday…
…let’s not forget that the only reason we are able to take a break on Sunday to watch it is because of the brave martyrs who, in the sight of thousands of roaring spectators, went to their death for Christ.
“For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?” (Matthew 16:25-26)

Christians should stop eating cows and start eating lion burgers.
@ShimmerBodyCream - but lions are cute and cows aren’t.
Jacob, they don’t need much incentive to ramp it up a notch…they play now til players suffer brain damaging concussions, dislocations, compound fractures, etc. If we give them the idea that it is EVEN more fun if the players actually die, they might start doing it. Then, after that,we are next.
I didn’t watch the game. I went to bed so early. It wasn’t even half time.
I did not watch this – not my kind of thing. Is it a fair play?
@SherryAngeLMysteriez - The Super Bowl? I guess I’m confused about what you are asking!
@SherryAngeLMysteriez - The Super Bowl? I’m confused as to what you are asking.
*Scratches head.* Are you saying football originated in the days of Christ, or was that a joke?
@Wilderbeast_exit13 - Neither; I was trying to invite everyone to reflect on how different arena sports are today than they were 2000 years ago, and how we owe the leisurely Sunday afternoons to the sacrifice of those who died for their faith. Sorry for the confusion!
Oh! Okay. Thanks for clarifying…
Christianity only gets my disdain and contempt. As every reasonable person should do.
P.S. You’re going to love my latest entry.
@In_Reason_I_Trust - The Church has always been ridiculed and held in contempt; that’s part of being the Body of Christ. The Church is more who she is meant to be when she is ridiculed and hated; Christ, whom she seeks to imitate, was treated the same way.
As for your latest entry, the Pope is the same way; the first few dozen popes were martyred, so your post is hardly anything new.
God bless you regardless; while you may have no love for His Church, He still has an abundance of love for you.
@Ancient_Scribe - The FSM loves you, but you must repent and believe. REPENT NOW, HEATHEN!
@In_Reason_I_Trust - My God eats FSMs for breakfast.
