@Ancient_Scribe - I like that. I had an Aunt that was a nun. I loved sitting besides her at family reunions because she knew our family genology and loved talking about it. I miss Sister Audrey. Good note: I ran across another Sister that knew her. It was nice talking to Sister Audrey’s friend.
@Randy7777 - I wish there were other religious in my family but for now I am the only one; I don’t know if there have been others in the past but I doubt it!
Pope Benedict XVI has often been overlooked in the shadow of his predecessor John Paul the Great but I think sometime in the future when historians read the profound personal essays and commentaries that Benedict has written (to say nothing of his generosity towards Anglicans and others), the world will come to realize that Joseph Ratzinger is truly Pope Benedict the Great. Thanks for posting this. Happy Birthday to Pope Benedict XVI!!! About 15 years ago, when I was struggling with me faith, a certain guy named Ratzinger (along with Balthasar and EWTN) helped turn things around for me. So I owe this Pope a special debt of gratitude, because thru his mane books I’m a better person.
