Full Body Challenge
“Take this, all of you, and eat of it. This is my body, which is given up for you.“
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity, of your dearly beloved Son Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

Love it!!!
You win.
Too bad you couldn’t get a picture of the entire Church! That’d be a way better win lol
Gahh I love love loveee this pic <3 My life teen has it on this HUGE banner and everytime I see it I’m like fjkdlsafjdfdklsaf <33333333333 I luhs Jesus
@TheGreatBout - The entire Church? You are looking right at it. The Church is the Body of Christ after all…and what is the Church anyways without the Eucharist to make it one Body? Just as any part of my own body–my hand for example–is fed and nourished by my own body and blood, so Christ nourishes each member of His Body–the Church–with His very own, actual, real, full, 100% Body and Blood. Else, how could we claim to be His Body and how could we live it, truly? If the Eucharist were merely symbolic or merely His presence hiding out inside bread but wasn’t truly, totally what He claimed it to be, neither could the Church claim to be His Body…
So, I suppose I did provide a picture of the whole Church!
even though i am a buddhist, i like this!
I’m not Catholic but I loved this
=D
Hahaha, I see what you did there!
@Ancient_Scribe - Clever sir. Very clever.
Almighty and ever-living God, I approach the sacrament of your only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
I come sick to the doctor of life, unclean to the fountain of mercy, blind to the radiance of eternal light, and poor and needy to the Lord of heaven and earth.
Lord, in your great generosity, heal my sickness, wash away my defilement, enlighten my blindness, enrich my poverty, and clothe my nakedness.
Just having a picture of the Host and considering Holy Eucharist
blesses my soul. I love communion.
I love communion in remembering Jesus’s death and resurrection.
Well played, sir, well played. *slow clap*
For the Win
well that’s an interesting take on the full body challenge!
Ancient_Scribe just did this so he wouldn’t have to post a picture of a dude in a priest’s uniform…
Now this is an original approach
Very good.
I love this.
@TheGreatBout - The Body of Christ is a Sacrament.
You are looking at Christ under the appearance of bread exactly as Jesus instituted it at the Last Supper. Jesus said to them,
(from John 6:53), “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.”
When was the last time you took Jesus’ full Body challenge and ate his Body and drank his Blood?
I wanna bite it.
Fantastic!
=]
This is most excellent.
@squeakysoul - Haha! Maybe I took the “full” of “full body” too literally.
Thank you for being wonderful!
I love this.
I like it. It made me smile.
The power of the moon in the palm of your hand.
I’m a former Catholic and far from believing much that Church teaches, but even then, I thought this was brilliant. Good for you!
@SnowshoeTrails - Well if you ever have questions on any of that, feel free to message me any time!
I’ve been so surprised by the numerous and positive responses to my little response to the Full Body Challenge; who knew?
@Ancient_Scribe - Ah thanks, no questions here. But I thought your post was very clever and quite moving.
google Eucharistic miracles and see what you find !
ty.
@mortimerZilch - Have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbg_dhI4XCs I’ve always found it absolutely amazing (I hope you don’t mind Spanish with mediocre English subs)!
