I’m not a HALO nut, but I do enjoy playing it from time to time. While glancing over abcnews.com this morning, I stumbled on a gem of a story that I think some people might want to read.

Who knew? The rumors are actually somewhat true. Acclaimed (and fanboy loved) director Peter Jackson and collaborator Fran Walsh are tapped to executive produce the upcoming Halo adaptation from Univeral Studios and 20th Century Fox. Mary Parent and Scott Stuber will act as producers alongside Peter Schlessel.
No, that doesn’t mean Jackson will be directing, but with creative minds like this at the helm, you can be assured Uwe Boll and Paul W.S. Anderson are far, far away. Halo’s been dealt the real deal with it comes to Hollywood filmmaking, and I don’t think anyone will blame me when I respond to this news with a resounding: holy sh*t. Someone’s finally taking videogame movies seriously.

hmmph! I don’t think I’m contagious…
heh, sweet!
I’ll take a gander through my Spider-Man Encyclopedia to give you a few more ideas for superheroes to possibly use for the Winter role-playing session, if you decide to go that route. As well, it will give me a chance to browse back over those books, even if we don’t use them.
I had a very enjoyable weekend, and ended up crashing early last night after accomplishing everything I needed to. It was really cool to meet some of your friends over at UNI as well. Sharing some laughs about high school and the movie was desperately needed as well.
I started watching Battlestar Galactica last night, with the mini-series after I finished my other homework, but had to stop it at the middle, as I was just too exhausted. I’d definitely like to come down and visit again, though, but it might not be until November before I’m able to.
Thinking to the far future, when does UNI start Thanksgiving break, because if it works out I could give you a ride back to Tipton? Might be something to look into then.
Hope you have a great week, Jake!

It’s pretty fracking sweet, yes. Way too many awesome moments!
hmmm as in “Yes, I can see you as an old lady” or hmmm as in “That’s an awful stretch of the imagination”? LOL The part calls for broad humor. No pun intended. It’s going to be a hoot!
