Call the Shot
I have been so humbled in the past week as to the reactions and responses regarding my last post. I have met so many people as a result, and what it has evidenced clearly to me is that there is such a thirst, especially among young women, for the truth, for that was all that I wrote.
So, I wanted to offer everyone a chance to voice their desire. What would you like to have me write about? Is there something you’d like to see my take on? I really see my blog not so much as a place I can just shoot off my opinion about this or that, but as a service to others. If there is some way my blog can serve you or other people on Xanga, please let me know!
I have, for example, been encouraged lightly to post about pornography. I certainly could do this. Being Right to Life week here at St. Louis University, I could also post about abortion. But before I attempted either one, I thought I would offer all of you a chance to let me know what you would like to see. Feel free to comment or message your thoughts and ideas, and I will try to update within the next few days if I can. God bless all of you, especially those who blessed my blog with your tears and thanksgiving. God loves each and every one of you so much, and I love you as best I can through his Son Jesus Christ, who is at the very heart of God. May you be blessed always and abundantly. -Jacob

What would I like to see a post on? wow. I’m really not sure. Every one of your posts in enlightening and more than worth the read. I would especially like to see your thoughts on the correlation between the sovereignty of God and his goodness. I would also like to see your thoughts on pornography. As well as abuse. Though I will gladly read whatever you post!!!

I feel with the upcoming election at hand, I would post about abortion-why it is such an intrinsic evil and why abortion should be at the center of choosing a candidate, and why Obama’s “Freedom of Choice” is not the right way to go. If the law were to allow legal abortion as a choice, many people would confuse this as a way of the government saying it’s ok, and right. His “Change” might not necessarily be change in the right and moral direction!
I don’t think it’s really a choice of which one to write about, pornography or abortion, but a choice of which to do first. But that’s just my take.

I enjoy your posts regardless of the topic.. Love the picture.. We all need to remember to be humble enough to help one another… Holy Thursday is one of my favorite masses of the year…
I admit, I absolutely loved your last post. It was so refreshing to me because I constantly doubt my own purpose or worth. Reading it made me realize the extent of God’s grace and the beauty I truly have. It’s not like I wasn’t aware of it, but the feeling is becoming more prominent after your post. It brought up so many different points that I really didn’t consider. I think you write beautifully because it comes from your soul and there seems to be no holding back. I really appreciate you.
As for what you should write about next, I think you should just go with your daily life experiences and relationship with God, and take whatever he is saying through you and communicate it to us. Instead of forcing yourself to think of a topic or asking others, perhaps, you should just go with your heart. It’ll never fail you if God’s in it. But I’m sure you know that. (:

I think you should post whatever you like as this is your space and place, but I must confess, I like hearing about your journeys the bust. You are such an inspiration and you have touched so many of us in ways you could never imagine!
Another suggestion would be a post about men; what does it mean to you to be a man of God? How is being called to serve God as a man different from serving God as a woman?

oOo i second that maje_charis! what does it mean to be a man in a womanizing society- you know better than most that chivalry does not have to be dead. in one of my classes, they said that men have a three-fold purpose: priestly, fatherly, and protector. that would be an interesting topic from your point of view!
