Some Reading to Enlighten
October 1st is coming soon, and I imagine people are antsy. So to hold you over until then, here is a link to a wonderful article on the true story of the North American Martyrs, incredible Jesuit saints who never cease to inspire many of us here at the novitiate (aptly named the Novitiate of the North American Martyrs). WARNING: There are some very graphic descriptions as to their deaths. Consider yourself warned!

Wow. I didn’t read all of that. It’s quite a long history of the lives and times of those eight Jesuits, and I am busy with other things at the moment, but I will say from what I’ve read that it is quite interesting. Martyrdom scares me. I don’t think when I die I want other people to take up my name as a person or beliefs to follow in to challenge those who disagree with me. I just get scared by the idea. It’s good it is inspiring you, though, Jake. Hope you have a great week!
I remember about Isaac Jogues, especially. Forgive me for not reading all of the article; it was long and, to tell truth, could have been better written.
Looking forward to the 1st!
Hehe, you know I love you, Jake.
And yes, I enjoy things. Like crocheting, ha!
thank you!
