  • Hello everybody! MY apologies again for such a tardy update but I am home now and upon arrival I was swamped with things to do. That and the only internet access I have is controlled by a brother who in genetically dependent upon such machines as this. Since I’ve been home I have caught up with quite a few people I have missed greatly and I am glad to see that many of them have not changed. The ones I remember being funny are still funny, those who were beautiful remained as such. Iowa is still as lovely as I remember it being, everything is cool and green and alive. It is so wonderful to be home.

  • It has been a while since I last updated, sorry again. It seems that of recent any time I once had decided to become something elusive rather than reliable and easy to find. I hope all that attended prom this past weekend had an enjoyable experience, I enjoyed both proms that I attended in high school. As for the formal dance I mentioned in my previous blog: wonderful. ALTHOUGH the first three songs were MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, and the Ghostbuster’s Theme song, it was quite enjoyable indeed. The Territorial Prison is a really neat place, especially the Horse Barn Dinner Theater in which the dance occured. The DJ was acceptable though she played a few songs I despise with all my being  (you and me baby ain’t nothin’ but mammals. . . AH SHOOT THIS SONG!) she was very kind and allowed us to request songs. I even got to help pick the last song of the night. Anyways, my date Melissa was absolutely gorgeous that night. She wore a shimmering green dress with really thin straps and it was tied up in the back. Her hair was up and the corsage I gave her matched perfectly. Oh yeah, I’m good. I also got a lot of comments on my hair, which I did wear back. The friend of mine that helped put it back did so at around noon because she wasn’t going to be around later so that gave my bangs ample time to fall out. Since I put this straightening gell in my hair my bangs were straight and very light and actually produced a very dashing effect. Every girl at the dance had to come take a look and it was quite humbling because I’ve never received such attention and so many compliments on how good I looked in my life! I was feeling pretty good about myself that night, and I also liked wearing my hair back so I may start doing that more often. I didn’t know how long my hair was until I pulled it back into a nice little pony tail thing. Me and my friend took a disposable camera so sometime in the next couple of weeks I will try and put up a picture of me and my date if I can find a good one. Well I should probably find a chair and read until I leave for Geology class. I cannot wait until this week is over, then I just have one more week until I get to go home! I’m sooooo excited! Love you all!
